Mornington Peninsula,
Victoria, Australia
Located on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, the Equestrian Centre is collaboration between watsonarchitecture+design and Seth Stein Architects, London.
The 1,000sqm complex designed exclusively for the breeding and training of ‘warm blood’ eventing horses has a ‘J’ shape plan that turns it back to the prevailing south west winds for protection.
The timber framed and clad building is anchored to the site by a 100m long rammed earth wall and is protected from the sun by one 1250sqm continuous zinc clad roof.
